Internship Description

The Men's Ministry intern will assist in the administration of the Men’s Ministry programs and help provide a staff presence on campus during evenings, nights and weekends. 

The Men’s Ministry Intern must be: 

  1. Willing to sign theSNHRMStatement of Faith 
    2. A current member or regular attendee of a local church. 
    3. Able to fully support the core values and philosophy of ministry held by SNHRM. 

 
Essential Duties: 

  • To present a positive Christian witness to SNHRMresidents and members of the community such asVolunteers, Guests, EMS, law enforcement, and other community service personnel. 
    ●To assist with Emergency Shelter operations. 
    ●To assist in case management administration. 
    ●To monitor and report facilities maintenance needs. 
    ●To maintain healthy working relationships and cooperate with other Mission staff 
    ●To encourage R12 Program students by building mutually accountable, healthy and personal relationships with R12 Disciples 
    ●Other duties as assigned 
     

Education/Experience: High School diploma or GED required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Equipment: Alco monitor, computer, CCTV system, alarm systems and sound system, drug screening tests 
 

Supervised by: Executive Director 
 

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, or sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Working schedule requires evenings, nights and weekends. 
 

Christian Life: As an employee of Southern New Hampshire Rescue Mission, you are an important member of a Christian Missionary organization. All staff members are required from time to time to participate in chapel services, outreach ministries, or counseling sessions. Because of the nature of these types of ministries it is an absolute necessity that you possess and maintain a testimony or lifestyle that is above reproach. What you do on your own time may seriously affect your ability to perform these types of ministries, which are an important part of your job.
